Prescription Drug Abuse Prevention – At the 2011 National 4-H Conference hundreds of youth from across the country came together to discuss issues and topics they were interested in affecting. In partnership with SAMHSA (Substance Abuse & Mental Health Services Administration) youth learned about prescription drug abuse and identified gaps in current prevention efforts. The group of 16 delegates came up with potential solutions that the 4-H program can implement to help prevent prescription drug abuse and presented this information to administrators at SAMHSA on April 6th, 2011.

I’m trying to prove that society is very concerned with the implications of a nation on anti-d drugs, but that it does not seem to have a healthy discussion about prescription drug abuse of painkillers, stimulants, and opioids. It’s been hard to find statistics, can you find any?
